I need some help!
Okay, I weighed myself and gained .5 lbs. But my fat loss is down. So, I weigh more with less fat. I know that muscle weighs more than fat, but still hard to realize that I am getting thinner but weigh more. I want to see that scale go down. I need some help. Someone remind me that this happens and is normal. I just want to be under 200 so bad and so soon. I feel like once I hit that point, I won’t feel as bad about my weight.
And I went to the dr. today and told him what my goal weight was. 135. He wants me to up it by 10-13 lbs because I tend to build muscle quickly. He feels as though 135, though within the healthy weight for my height, would be too small for my athletic build, as he puts it. I just wanted to be in the 130’s again…. but, alas, I want to do what is best for my body and health. So, I am upping my weight goal, because my thing is to be healthy too, not just thin.
Okay, so this week, everyone do your workouts. Stay on your menu. Keep blogging. That’s what I am going to do to keep going at this. One day at a time! That’s all we can do. Even today when I look at the scale and I am .5 up, I push it out of my head and keep on going. Push harder! I am going to run that extra mile tomorrow. Do that extra class. I can’t give up because of a .5 lb. I just need a reminder sometimes of why. And how much I want this.
If you wanna see the numbers go down, but know that you are building muscle then get out the tape measure! You can watch the inches go down even if the scale doesn’t. BTW, it does happen and it is normal. LOL. Keep up the great work!
Harley girl is right…grab your tape measure. I have disowned my scale lol. Hang in there!
I understand how you feel too. I can only ditto the previous comments because they are right!
Don’t let the scale get you down. You’re doing a fantastic job and it will only get better with your positive attitude. Have a great day, girl!
I agree with Ang. Pay more attention to the tape measure than the scale and you will stay motivated.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your attitude!
Hugggggggggggggs,
Shan
Good job talking it over with your doctor. Also, congrats on taking his advice. Health is the main priority. I know we all want to reach a certain number but sometimes our numbers aren’t realistic or not good. You’ll look great and feel great at your goal. Good luck with everything and you can do it!!
how tall are you?
I am 5′5.5″
I would like to be 135 too…but I was looking at the assesment yesterday when I went to my 2 month checkup with the Drs…and according to them..my lean weight is 137…and (i think) that is without ANY fat???
so I am going to have to let it go…I gain muscle too…and I am always going to be heavier than other women that wear the same size as me…but stonger: ) I agree that it looks like the tape measurer is going to have to be the real “scale” for us Xena warrior princess types: )
I agree with the others, Mr. Tape measure is your friend. Keep in mind your trying to be healthy, not just lose weight and muscle is good, it shows your progress.

Also I like how Chrisie pointed out the Xena warrior princess types- your a warrior princess, doesn’t that sound good?
concentrate on feeling healthy……….be happy for your increase in energy…….this will make you a better spouse and mother…….the more energy you get the better you workouts will be……..look at your half pound gain as an oppurtunity……this will lead to a better number next week…….
I love the idea of being healthy over thin! Plus I agree, with what the others said, p[ay more attention to your measurements than the scale, You go, Warrior!! Let’s win this battle!
